We recently had the pleasure of staying at Pestana Vila Sol – Vilamoura Premium Golf Resort in Vilamoura, and it was a truly relaxing and elegant experience.
Nestled in lush greenery with a serene atmosphere, this resort offers the perfect mix of sophistication and comfort, ideal for both a peaceful getaway and a stylish base to explore the Algarve.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautifully landscaped gardens and the tranquil surroundings.
The check-in was smooth and welcoming, with friendly staff who were attentive and eager to help.
Althugh you can stay in a hotel room in the main building, we preferred to stay in a room in the gardens, it was spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated in calming, neutral tones.
I loved waking up to the view of the gardens and starting my mornings on the private terrace with a coffee in hand with my dog (yes they accept dogs)!
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities were just what we needed for a comfortable stay.
One of the highlights of Vila Sol Pestana is the stunning outdoor pool area — perfect for lounging in the sun or enjoying a refreshing swim.
There’s also a lovely poolside bar, ideal for sipping cocktails or a chilled rosé during the warm afternoons. They also serve snacks like burgers and fries, which is perfect if you have children.
There is also a lovely indoor pool located in the gardens, perfect if you are visiting the Algarve during the winter months!
The resort also features a beautiful golf course for those who want to play with a view.
Breakfast was delicious with a generous buffet selection — from fresh fruits and pastries to eggs, cheeses, and local delicacies.
There’s also a restaurant onsite with a diverse buffet menu if you prefer to dine in, and we had dinner outside at sunset next to the lake with swans swimming around and it was incredible whimsical and peaceful!
But if you prefer to go out, Vilamoura’s marina, with its vibrant restaurants and nightlife, is only a short drive away.
The hotel also has an amazing gym and a game room with plenty of fun for kids!
What truly sets this hotel apart is the peaceful atmosphere — it feels like a little sanctuary, while still being close enough to Vilamoura’s beaches, marina, and shops.
Even in the peak of summer, it doesn’t feel crowded or very noisy like other hotels in the Algarve.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind, enjoy nature, and indulge in some laid-back luxury, I highly recommend Hotel Vila Sol Pestana. We are already looking forward to returning!
