Soak Up the Sun in Style at Beach Club Vale do Lobo

A Celebration of the Beloved Sardine on Portimão’s Riverside
Join the festivities along the Portimão riverside for a vibrant tribute to the iconic sardine! Enjoy freshly grilled sardines, traditional Algarve salads, regional sweets, and local crafts, all in a lively, authentic setting.
Each evening comes alive with live music performances, adding a festive rhythm to this much-loved summer event.

13th - 15th August
With its bold, youthful energy, Mar Me Quer is the ultimate spot to keep the summer vibes going after a day at the beach. Known for its lively atmosphere, the event draws a vibrant crowd — from groups of friends to families — all coming together to dance, connect, and enjoy the rhythm of summer.
This year’s exciting line-up includes:

13th - 15th August
FATACIL is one of the Algarve’s biggest and most beloved summer fairs — a vibrant celebration of Portuguese culture, traditions, crafts, food, and music.
FATACIL stands for Feira de Artesanato, Turismo, Agricultura, Comércio e Indústria de Lagoa — which translates to Fair of Handicrafts, Tourism, Agriculture, Commerce, and Industry of Lagoa.
It takes place annually in Lagoa, Algarve, making it a must-visit summer event in the Algarve.

9th - 17th August
The Silves Medieval Fair is a multi-day medieval-themed festival that recreates the sights, sounds, and spirit of medieval times. The entire historic center of Silves — including its cobbled streets, castle, and city walls — is transformed into a living stage with:
Costumed characters: knights, queens, jesters, monks, merchants
Traditional markets: handmade crafts, local delicacies, medieval-style goods
Food stalls: spit-roasted meats, mead, sweets, and regional flavors
Live entertainment: fire-breathers, jugglers, musicians, acrobats, and parades
Epic shows: including knight tournaments, falconry, and reenactments

29th August
One of the Algarve’s most beloved summer traditions, the 29th Bath Festival returns to Lagos and Praia da Luz on August 29th — blending age-old ritual with modern celebration.
Rooted in local folklore, this tradition celebrates the belief that a sea bath on this day "scares away demons and counts for 29 baths" — a symbolic and purifying act that has stood the test of time.
Today, the festival is more than just a dip in the ocean. It comes alive with live music, cultural performances, and community spirit at iconic locations like Cais da Solaria, Jardim da Constituição, and Praia da Luz.

30th August
“Noite Branca” it's a celebration where everyone dresses in white to mark the end of summer in a stylish, magical, and high-energy way.
Loulé's version on the main streets is especially famous for its creativity, music, and spectacular atmosphere. There's an amazing programme planned for the event with a great line up of DJs and bands.

July to September
Over the course of five months, from May to September, Somersby Out Jazz returns to the gardens of Oeiras to transform Sunday evenings (and this year, some Saturdays too) into true moments of celebration.
Live music, nature, friends, freedom, and that special energy you only feel outdoors — all with free admission.

4th - 28th July
Largo de São Carlos becomes a space of discovery — a meeting point between the classical and the contemporary, blending the literary legacy of Camões with the magic of live performance.
The Millennium Festival ao Largo is a free cultural event that lights up Lisbon’s summer nights, turning Largo de São Carlos into an open-air stage for classical music, opera, and dance.

20th July - 15th October
With the arrival of summer, Lisbon transforms into a giant open-air screen thanks to Black Cat Cinema’sscreenings in unexpected places — such as the Bicho d' Agua beach at Costa da Caparica, the cloisters of Igreja da Graça and Palácio do Grilo.
These iconic venues will be filled with street food, drinks, popcorn, and of course, films for every taste, including The Grand Budapest Hotel, Grease, Before Sunrise, Notting Hill, The Lion King, and more.

29th July
Lionel Richie has announced his European Say Hello To The Hits tour. Known for his smooth voice and timeless classics, the award-winning musician will embark on a series of electrifying performances.
The tour starts in Belfast, on May 31, passing through 16 countries, including Portugal on July 29, at MEO Arena.

13th August
UB40 featuring Ali Campbell are back in Portugal. The historic British reggae band, responsible for timeless hits such as Red Red Wine, Kingston Town and Cherry Oh Baby, will perform at Sagres Campo Pequeno on August 13.
With over 70 million records sold and 50 hits in the UK, Ali Campbell keeps the essence of the band alive, accompanied by experienced musicians who share his passion for the authenticity of reggae.


28th August - 7th September
Organised by Cascais Municipal Council and Cascais Tourism, this is usually the summer festival that gives the most prominence to music in Portuguese and which takes place, with free admission, on the stage right next to Baía de Cascais beach.
It is a vibrant celebration of maritime heritage, blending traditional boat parades with modern music against the backdrop of the town's picturesque coastline.
